How is the program structured?
Phase 1: Language of medicine
Terminology built from roots and suffixes, anatomy and physiology system by system, and the abbreviations you will meet in real notes. Healthcare professionals can move faster through this phase.
Phase 2: How US healthcare pays
Medicare Parts A to D, Medicaid, commercial plans and Medicare Advantage; professional and facility claims; the revenue cycle from registration to denial management. You learn why a single wrong code causes a denial or an audit finding.
Phase 3: Diagnosis coding with ICD-10-CM
Index and Tabular navigation, conventions, general and chapter-specific guidelines, and the outpatient rules for uncertain diagnoses. Taught on the FY2027 code set effective 1 October 2026.
Phase 4: Procedures and services
CPT E/M leveling by medical decision making or time; integumentary, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, digestive and other surgical sections; radiology; lab; medicine; anaesthesia. HCPCS Level II and the modifiers auditors check most often.
Phase 5: Compliance and professional practice
NCCI procedure-to-procedure edits and MUEs, coverage determinations and medical necessity, HIPAA privacy and security in a remote-work world, OIG enforcement themes, and professional ethics.
Phase 6: Charts, mocks and interviews
Specialty case sets, full-length timed mock exams, error analysis, resume building, and practice for the written assessments and technical interviews used by Pune employers.
